DomainDrivers' Terms of Service for Link Building Services

Exclusivity

For our link building services, our standard arrangement with clients provides for no exclusivity to our services in their marketplace. While we could conceivably offer this, please note that the costs would be considerable. The linking profile of any site is public information, and a determined competitor could achieve similar linking results in other ways.

The additional investment in exclusivity would yield no practical protection to our clients. One way linking exclusivity agreements would require that we negotiate the definition of who is a competitor, the contract duration, a minimum contract amount, termination and release clauses, etc. There would also be a service premium, depending upon how broad the definition of a competitor.

Nevertheless, we are aware of our role here. We will remain discreet and respectful of client information that we receive in the course of this work, nor do we identify our clients or publish a client list.

Search Engine Results

As stated on our website, and is often stated in our correspondence, using our SEO Best Practices services does not guarantee or claims to with respect to our client's results with any search engine, nor do we assume any liability whatsoever for negative consequences that may arise. It is impossible to definitively determine the source of negative search engine results, and it is quite often not due to linking factors, but other circumstances, including changes in the search algorithms themselves.

We provide linking popularity services that reflect traditional link directory practices. This means that we build targeted, categorized, and useful link directories for our clients, and then we request links from the listed sites that offer to exchange links. This has been proven to work well over the course of several years, and continues to work well.

For one way links and reciprocal linking clients, we focus on legitimate and honest link sources. However, anybody can link to anybody else. The search engines take into consideration this fact. In some case we can control linking arrangements, in other cases we cannot. We cannot control if another website posts a link to your site: it probably was out of our control in the first place.

Reciprocal linking can bring great rewards, and it can also carry risk. That risk can be minimized with honest linking practices. We take a conservative approach. For our clients who have concerns about these issues, we offer the following remediation:

  • At any time, we can provide you with a list of sites in your links directory, or those that are queued to be listed, for your review and edit.
  • We will remove any listed site immediately, upon request.
  • We will work with your appointed search engine specialist who can approve the link directory structure and all listed links.

PLEASE NOTE: For clients who have established their own criteria for acceptable link prospects, whatever that may be, we now require that they approve or reject all sites at their own expense and effort. We cannot assure accuracy of compliance with any link prospect criteria. The sites themselves, as well as PageRank, Alexa rank, search engine indexing status, and other factors, change continuously.

For the link popularity services clients who choose to waive this review process are thus agreeing to establish a link directory that follows our traditional link building practices. We make no guarantees how that work will or will not affect any particular search engine, positively or negatively, now or in the future. We have no way to provide such guarantees with any assurance. We cannot make any guarantees as to compliance with any link criteria, especially one way linking efforts.

The only party that can definitively establish the acceptance of a link prospect, without recourse, is the client or their designated representative/reviewer. We will work with our clients to facilitate that review work, if they choose to pursue it. Those who choose to waive the review process understand that we use only subject relevance as a means to determine the sites that we ask for links.

In all cases, we make no guarantees or warranties of any manner as to positive or negative search engine results that derive from this work.

Data Access

For their review, we will provide link building services clients with a spreadsheet of all listed prospect sites that are listed in their links pages. This report will include the Site name, home URL, description, listed category, link-back status, and date of that status.

Under no circumstances can we provide the contact email or the "Add URL" data for prospect sites. This is proprietary data that goes to the core of our business, and it will not be published.

Limits of Liability

We make no guarantees, warranties, or representations about any site that is listed. We attempt to keep out inappropriate sites. Nor do we assume any responsibility or liability for the business practices of listed sites. Links directories are informational only.

Again, we allow link building and SEO Best Practices services clients the opportunity to accept/reject any listed site. Thus, the client assumes all responsibility for listings.

Duration of Confirmations

Due to ever-changing market forces, links earned are not guaranteed to remain in place indefinitely. However, the link is yours and will not be removed by us if our relationship expires. Once we earn a link from an approved prospect site, it becomes non-refundable.

We will attempt to replace any link that is earned via our link building services but subsequently removed, for up to twelve months from the confirmation date, but with no guarantees. Our goal is to keep our clients satisfied, but, due to circumstances well beyond our control, we cannot guarantee the placement of links earned indefinitely, especially if overall market attitudes toward link exchanges changes dramatically.

Some significant change in the perception of linking in the marketplace may result in the mass removal of link directories. We certainly cannot insure against that, in any way. We do provide you with a 5% overage of our goal to cover any link loses.

Reporting Discrepancies for Confirmed Links

Our experience shows that there are always slight discrepancies between the real-time condition and the reported condition in this business. There are links that have been confirmed that may not yet be in place and are awaiting a site update, or they have been removed for some reason. There are cases where our spiders will find your link in a directory on a specific page, but when you check, it has been moved to a different page as that website directory grows.

When using our link building services, there are also links that have been placed coming back to a client site, but they have not yet been confirmed, so they may not yet counted. The discrepancies do cut both ways. Therefore, we will exceed the stated goal by 5%, in order to account for any errors, dead sites, removed links, submitted sites, and other contingencies. Nevertheless, we try to be as accurate as possible, in order to maintain good data.

Both the over-reporting or under-reporting of link confirmations each creates it's own problems here, so we try come close as possible to the reality. And we exceed the goals, in order to account for discrepancies.

We ask your understanding of this condition, as a site-by-site review of confirmed links will inevitably uncover discrepancies. It is an unavoidable nature of the business.
